a plague of robins is a compilation of three chapbooks, each featuring poetry on birds and women. The poems focus on a comparative study of Tippi Hedren’s character Melanie in The Birds and Sula in Toni Morrison’s novel Sula. The chapbooks are enclosed in a handwoven double weave sheath.

Materials: Paper is made out of envelopes, sea water from K’jipuktuk, and the inner Oslofjord. The text is printed by hand using carbon copy paper.
Water Logue was a long distance project created while Gabriel was in Oslo, Norway, and I was in Halifax, Nova Scotia. We combined our writings on the waterways surrounding each of us, finding similarities and researching/ imagining the histories of people and things travelling those watery paths.
