A brief history of memory: gossip and the core rope
Collaboration with Gabriel Soligo
Written for Tie It Off & Count Again’s catalogue HAVN, curated by Rowan Lynch.
Collaboration with Gabriel Soligo.
Materials: Paper is made out of envelopes, sea water from K’jipuktuk, and the inner Oslofjord. The text is printed by hand using carbon copy paper.
Water Logue was a long distance project created while Gabriel was in Oslo, Norway, and I was in Halifax, Nova Scotia. We combined our writings on the waterways surrounding each of us, finding similarities and researching/ imagining the histories of people and things travelling those watery paths.
